How can I test setting permissions on pages and spaces without a paid account?

I'm a developer and I want to add the ability to set/update permissions on Confluence pages to my application. However, I don't have a paid Confluence account, and free tier accounts do not offer this functionality.

  1. How can I know if a tenant is paid or free via the REST API, to determine which of my customers can use this feature in the first place?
  2. How can I test it, besides paying for a Confluence subscription?

Hi Joao,

You will need a paid account to test it properly.

However, you could just start a trial (ideally on a URL no one is ever going to request - I had a Cloud site with a name and hence URL generated by having my cat sit on my keyboard) - they have the same functionality as a paid site, they just die after a while if you don't pay.
