How can I ensure that users have nothing assigned to them?

We are approaching our limit for the number of users . . . but we include people who left the company many years ago.  I have been through the issues and ensured that all are either assigned to people who are still here or are unassigned - i.e. nothing is assigned to people who are no longer here.

How can I ensure that there is nothing else linked to them before I delete them, please?

Hi @Mark Tucker

One option is to just deactivate the users, rather than delete them?

Hi, I am not sure that helps - it still leaves clutter in the system and it will have to be dealt with at some point.  Cheers

Hi @Mark Tucker

You can use JQL to find issues where the user is the...

  • Assignee
  • Reporter
  • Creator
  • A Watcher

This article could also be a good starting point for this, as it looks for filters, dashboards, etc.
