Hi Community!

I would like to create a table which will summarize the content of another table.
The base table has a plenty of rows and columns which only few of them I would like to present in the summary table. I know the Page Properties/Page properties report, but it's only useful for table of content with only two columns. Is there another clever way to do it?

Any advice highly appreciated.

Hi @Marta Lewandowska ,

We don't think that it is possible natively, so you may look into 3rd party apps.

For example, we develop the Table Filter, Charts & Spreadsheets for Confluence app, that may help your case:

  • To collect multiple-row tables in a big combined report (or to reuse tables), use the Table Excerpt/Table Excerpt Include macros. They serve as an advanced version of the native Page Properties/Page Properties Report macros
  • To leave only required data, use the Table Filter macro on top of the Table Excerpt Include macro (filter out the unnecessary rows and hide the unwanted columns)

This is just a general option based on your initial question but please refer to our support portal that is confidential - you may share your real case and we will guide you through it step by step.

Hi @Marta Lewandowska ,

You can add multiple columns to the Page Properties Report macro.  However this does not help with extracting data from a table.

I'm not aware of another, built in, way to do this.

Yes, exactly. The problem here is extracting data from a big table of content.
