How can I create a TOC that I don't need to do any #,*,.,/,\ or anything else really?

I just want to be able to Select a title and tie it into my TOC. I don't want to have to use filters. The macro is useless to me. It's really unfriendly to use and frustrating.

Using the Example below I want my TOC to be link to the bold text point. How hard can it be without having to write code to filter stuff.

Format lines as headings and the TOC generates automatically - the headings are the "select a title" function.
