Hiding the recent blog posts panel

Is it possible to hide the recent blog posts panel that show up on the right when you view a blog post? Its affecting the layout of my blog entry.

This isn't super-easy to do, but you can hide it globally by editing the default Confluence CSS:

Please note that this option is not available for OnDemand.
