HELP Missing Draft!

I worked for hours on a draft a few weeks ago and I can't find it anywhere. It's not under "Your work" at all, even though I see pages I created before and after I know I created this missing page. I spent hours on the page and I would really hate to have lost it.

What could I have possibly done that it didn't save? I'm 99% sure I did not delete it.

Hey Chris,

If you saved over the draft or discarded your draft it is, sadly, gone forever. There is no trash bin for drafts. they are just purged.

Something to also be aware of:

Drafts in Confluence are shared, meaning other people can work on them with you. If you delete a draft that other people have worked on, you're deleting their changes too.

So is it possible somebody else deleted my unpublished draft without my knowledge? Seems like an undesirable "feature."

Sadly, that looks to possibly be the case in this instance.

You could look into disabling collaborative editing if you wish to not have this "feature" (I would suggest against this and learn more towards training users how to share drafts):

Hi Stephen,

Thanks for your response, however, this issue might be different. I faced a similar issue where a page I was working on, and did not publish was not to be found.

So I tested this just now, and it seems the drafts are stored somewhere, but they don't appear unless you can access them with the complete URL.

See the steps I followed:

1. Create a page
2. Give a title, don't save or publish
3. Copy the URL (to verify the issue)
4. Close the browser tab
5. Check My profile-->Your work
6. The page cannot be found
7. Retest by pasting the URL of format - https://<domain>.jira.com/wiki/spaces/ABC/pages/create?draftId=123456789&draftShareId=472c4578-5259-4b90-8d5c-03a9d37d7a36&
8. Page appears with the title that was provided above in step 2

So obviously, I do not remember the complete URL for the page that I lost. Is there any way to retrieve those pages?

Still worked for me but the URL was. https://<myDomain>.atlassian.net/wiki/my/drafts
