I recently read the news about the new media picker in Confluence and was excited to finally see a proper Google Drive integration!
However, once I connected my account I was disappointed to see it only accessed My Drive and none of the 8 different Team Drives I have Manager permissions for.
Is this the expected behavior?
Our company is relying heavily on Team Drives to structure our organization and on Confluence for documentation. Would love to be finally be able to connect the two effortlessly.
Hello Alex,
Happy to hear about your eagerness to try out our new Google Drive integration! I'm also disappointed to hear that it's not working as expected for you.
I looked into this issue and it does appear that Confluence is having issues displaying files from Google Team Drives. Have a look at the reported bug below:
At this time you will need to store files in My Drive instead in order to be able to embed the file in Confluence.
Please click This affects my team on the bug above in order to report it for your users. I would recommend that you watch the case if you want to be updated of any changes.
Thank you for your understanding.
Regards,
Shannon
Thank you for the answer.
Unfortunately, the My Drive workaround is not applicable. The files I need to embed in Confluence pages are organized in Team Drives due to permission needs + collaborations. I can't have them in My Drive. :)
Will be watching the issue and hopefully this gets resolved soon.
