I've created my first Confluence page for my company's wiki. When I try to publish I get this error: “Unable to communicate with server. Saving is not possible at the moment.” Seconds later, it will say “Successfully reconnected. We’re back in business. You’re free to save your page again.” I searched for an answer but only found some stuff about IE or possible interference from the Last Pass extension. I’m using Chrome. I do use 1password7, but I tried disabling the extension and it made no difference.
How can I publish/save my page?
Thank you.
Solved. I had to go to incognito mode before publishing worked.
I'd also tried incognito mode and it didn't work.
The only thing that had worked was to log out and close all browser windows, and accept that there will be a loss of data. Then, try logging in again. If it looks like a copy of you is still editing the page, log out and wait 30 minutes and then log in again.

Okay, I have just tried creating a new page and copying in the contents piece by piece and publishing works somehow. This is very cumbersome.

I am having the same problem and it does not publish even in Incognito mode.

I'm pretty sure this is a bug when editing the same document in both tabs, causing a conflict. Editing in a second tab should be blocked if this happens (most people would do this by mistake), and it looks like a conflict exception - so this should be managed and perhaps the draft can be saved with the option to resolve conflicts as per multi-user collaborative editing
