Fresh installation of Confluence not working

Jira Bot January 13, 2019

Hi,

i have an fresh installation (empty) of confluence. I installed like this:

- installed debian 9 (minimal)

- installed mc, vim, postgresql-9.6

- added confluence database and confluenceuser

- downloaded the installer package (atlassian-confluence-6.13.0-x64.bin)

- installed with default settings

- opend localhost:8090

- configured database connection

- configured new empty site

- created administrator (admin, pass@word1)

- tryed to login on localhost:8090

expected result:

Confluence logs me in with admin, pass@word1

actual result:

- when using admin, pass@word1 confluence just asks me again for the password

- when using admin, garbadgepass confluence tells me that the password is not right

Solutions that I already tryed:

- restart server

- chown home and data directorys by confluence:confluence again

- start confluence as root user

- reinstall confluence again (3 times)

- reinstall server again and install confluence again

What am I doing wrong? Or is confluence not compatible to debian 9?

I solved the Problem by using another Browser.

The Browser which was not working was "Firefox 64.0.2 (64-Bit)".

The curroius thing is, that now after once logging in with Microsoft Edge I now can also login with Firefox. Very wired. Maybe someone from Tech-Team want to check with my report if he can reproduce this error with Firefox?

What does the log file say the error is?  <confluence home>/log/atlassian-confluence.log

Nothing, just that the login page was called and served.
