Footnotes Macro - Export to PDF

I am using the Footnotes macro. When I export my page to PDF and click on a footnote in the PDF, the footnote links back to my Confluence page rather than the display footnote macro that is further down in the PDF. Am I overlooking something simple? I need the PDF to stand on its own. Thanks in advance for your assistance!
