First Login to Confluence lasts very long

Ingo Buyny July 18, 2019

Hello,

i`m relatively new to Confluence and am still in the test phase.

I installed the package on a virtual Server 2012 R2 with 4 Cores and 8GB RAM.

There are 4 users locally created and right now i am the only active user which creates content.

My problem, when i start in the morning, i can access the login page in a reasonable speed (using Firefox or Chrome), but when i try to login to my user account or to the admin account which i created, for the first time each day it lasts for about a minute to actually login.

After that it reacts quite ok, working in the menus, creating content is not affected or seems to be what i would call slow.

Our Browsers are accepting websockets connection or do you mean something else?

What I would do is to check this:

- Make sure that your network allows websockets. If they are not allowed you can have a delay till confluence uses http when it detects websockets are not available

- Inspect the network to see if there's any specific component that is taking too long to load.

- Verify the load of the server and processes to see if there's any specific process that it is consuming too much

We have issues in our instance for the first topic.

Good luck!
