Finding experts in your company with confluence?

Finding experts on a topic is a common challenge for most employees in knowledge-intensive companies. How can confluence support this? I have seen that Confluence Questions allows to gain points for certain topics, but is it also possible for Confluence users to enter certain skills in their profile (e.g. like in LinkedIn), which then can be searched by others? Or what other possibilities exist?

Maybe create a template for the personal space where the users can capture their skills in a nice formatted way? Once the skill is in the page, you should be able to find those by searching the skill.
