File thumbnail displays the ability to edit when I attach a PDF

I don't want others to be able to edit the PDFs that I add to the site.  Even if they are read only, it is still misleading that there is an Edit choice.  Can that be disabled?

Unfortunately I don't think you can do this on cloud OR server.

The module on the Attachment Actions System Add-on cannot be disabled in either environment.

Hi, Paula,

It's not possible removing the edit button for the file on Confluence. As it is, the edit button will allow the user only to download the file.

You can check available customisations at Changing the Look and Feel of Confluence.
