Facing error while adding "page properties report" macro in a template

While creating a new template, I have to add page properties report macro. While adding the macro with the following options:
- Label: xyz
- In space: Current space
Confluence is showing me the following error in preview mode:
"The Page Properties Report macro must be used within a space".

Can anybody advice what could be the problem here?

While using a Existed Page template to create a new page its throwing an error. See the below screen shot. Please advise what is the problem here.
