External Links Launch in New Tab - Confluence Cloud

I see an app to have my external links launch in a new browser tab, but I don't see that it is available for Confluence Cloud.  Is there another way to do this?

Welcome to Atlassian Community. It's nice to meet you.

At this moment, there's no workaround to have links open in a new tab or window other than CMD/CTRL clicking the links. There's been a feature request created for this below:

• CONFCLOUD-34088 Provide the ability to create a link in Confluence that will open in a new tab

Please vote on the request and you will automatically be added to the list of watchers and receive updates on this request.

If the app you are referring to on Server is from Atlassian Marketplace, I have tagged that topic on this question so our Marketplace vendors can see it. They will let you know about any add-ons that would provide that capability for Cloud.
