Export to Word with a Jira Work Items Macro (Cloud)

When I used the confluence export to Word feature in a document with a Jira Work Items Macro, fields that have user defined  tags (labels, fix version, etc) show up in th eexported table as a blank.  When I export to PDF these fields are rendered as expected.  Is there a way to get fields like fix version to be rendered properly?

Hola Steve,

This looks like a Word export limitation or bug with the newer Jira Work Items macro, not a problem with the Jira fields themselves.

The clue is that the values render correctly in Confluence and in PDF export, but only disappear in Word. If labels or fix versions were missing, restricted, or configured incorrectly, you would likely see the problem before export, too.

I’d test a small page with only the Jira Work Items macro and the affected columns. If Word is still blank while PDF works, send that clean reproduction to Atlassian Support.

For now, the practical workaround is to use PDF export, export the issue data from Jira separately, or test the older Jira Issues macro if it is still available on your site.

Thanks,

James

Hi @Steve Binney ,

On top of what James said, here are two (new) bugs related to this macro export to Word:

The first one, 84592 is actually this behavior you're seeing on your end.

Cheers,
Tobi
