Error message on accessing my confluence space

Hello 

After login into my Atlassian account I want to head to my Confluence workspace but get this error message:

HTTP Status 403 – Forbidden


Type Status Report

Message ASAP authentication received but failed authorization

Description The server understood the request but refuses to authorize it.


Apache Tomcat/7.0.91

I've tried it several times but get always this message. I'm logged in and I'm the owner of the page/account. 

Same error message when I click on the link of my space in "My Atlassian".

Furthermore I got this error message in "My Atlassian" when I click on the link "View and configure my products"

And yes, I accept third party cookies.

What else can I do to?

Could you let me know a few things about the issue? 

  1. Are any other users having trouble accessing Confluence? Do you have the same problem on multiple devices or computers?
  2. Which browser are you using, and does this occur on more than one browser?
    • Have you been able to test this after clearing your browser cache?
    • Does this occur in incognito mode?
  3. 403s can indicate an issue with authentication. Can you let me know how are you logging in?
    • Are you using a bookmark or a password manager or some other authentication site (e.g. Okta)?

Hello Shannon

Your question brought me to the right solution. I'm using the Safari browser and deleted the cache in between. That didn't help. I then realized that I can still access my space by my cell phone! This brought me to remove all Atlassian related cookies. After re-login everything worked fine again! So removing the cookies did help. I wasn't logged in a while (months) so I assume something has changed in between that made my cookies unusable.
