I have imported once before and it was completed until the system asks me if i wanted to do some jira macro check, i clicked ok but then subsequently it took too long so i exited from the page and came back to import again.
Then now, I got an import error that says a space with key KA exists.

If you started the import it would have most likely got most of it setup, hence the space already exists. You will need to delete the space in order to import it again so that a space with the same key does not already exist.

I have a similar issue:
What I did was try to move over 1000 pages from that space, it failed but I could no longer see the pages I tried to move (but they also didnt move to the other space).
So I thought I'd delete the space and just reimport - the delete failed but the space is not visible:
Could someone help with:
a) Trying to properly purge the space that I am trying to reimport.
b) assist in reimporting the space that appears to not have purged properly from my site.

Did you get any help here? I have the same issue, imported one space, removed it, but now it still complain about that it is existing? But I cant find it any longer.

Kajsa - Check that your space is permanently deleted. Check All-Spaces -> Trashed. You can permanently delete from there.
