Historically when embedding a PDF document onto a Confluence page, the entire document embedded, no matter how many pages.  Now, when I follow the same steps, only the first page from the file embeds.  How do I get all pages to embed?

Hi @tara_kupselaitis ,

After 2024 updates. Confluence native macro now defaults to a first-page preview. And there's no configuration that exists. But you can try the below steps:

1. Quick Test for Full Embed:

  • Attach the PDF to your page (Insert > Files & images).
  • Edit page > Type /pdf > Select file > Set "Scale" to "Fit to page" or "Actual size" > Insert.
  • Publish and check—scroll for pages. If stuck on page 1, zoom out or try incognito mode (cache can interfere).

2. Or Use a Marketplace App

After a quick research, I believe you can try PDF Embed for Confluence (Free for Teams of less than 10 active users).

  • Install from Marketplace.
  • Use macro /pdf > Choose attach/upload/URL > Embed -> Shows all pages instantly, no glitches.

This restores the "historical" full view without hacks. What's your PDF size/pages like? Could help debug further.

I hope the links below are helpful for you:

Hope this works well for you.

Best regards,

Peter
