Embedded images suddenly appear broken

I have a large requirements document with several embedded images, using the upload feature of Images, and suddenly all the images appear to be broken links.

Has anyone else had this happen?  Is there a way, other than uploading and re-linking each one, to fix it?

Any guidance is appreciated.

Update:

To expand on this further.  The system lets me upload new images and they appear just fine, in the document.  All other images show a warning symbol and contain a Retry link.  Clicking the link does nothing.

We're experiencing something similar.  We're unable to attach attachments to our Jira issues at this time.  Worked fine yesterday.
