Hi
I need to make edits to a page in Confluence and am able to click on the Edit pencil icon, however, everything on the page is restricted - the top toolbar is disabled including the Publish button. I checked with my admin and he said I have the same permissions as anyone else in my company.
Please can you assist.
Hi Angélica
Yes I have cleared history and tested in Firefox, Internet Explorer Edge and Chrome. I could not get editing controls in any of them. However, I tried accessing the site using my personal mac using Safari and it worked.
The screen below is the one from my organization's laptop. The top bar is disabled and the "Publish" button is disabled. Also, just next to the unlock icon, I cannot see my login Icon ("SR")
The screen below is from my personal mac. As you can see, the toolbar is enabled, "Publish" button is enabled and I can see my login icon "SR" on the same line.
At the time I took these screen shots, both laptops were connected to my home wifi. I require the editing to work on my work laptop. Could you advise if there is anything blocking at the network level that I need to check?
I hope this helps you.
Regards
Sudhir
Thank you for the screenshots and details, Sudhir.
We believe that this issue might be related to a bug that currently is not possible to replicate, so it's still being investigated.
As per the details you provided, you are using Windows on your organization's laptop, is that correct? Would it be possible to test using another Windows computer?
Maybe it's some specific configuration on your computer that is blocking the option to edit the page since it works normally on another computer.

Hi Angélica
Thank you for the update. I have just tried in my personal Windows laptop and am able to edit the content without issues. The page loads with the "Publish" button in Blue.
Could you please assist.
Thanks
Sudhir

Thank you for testing, Sudhir. With that, we can confirm that is some specific configuration on your organization's laptop.
For now, we must wait for the bug to be fixed. Please, click on "This affects my team" and also watch the bug to receive future updates.

Hello Sudhir,
Welcome to Atlassian Community!
Just for a better understanding of the issue, I would like to make some questions.
Have you tested editing the page using another browser?
Can you please open the developer tools on your browser to check if it shows any error? If so, please send us a screenshot of the error.
Is it happening only on a specific page in this space?
Regards,
Angélica

Hi Angélica
Yes I have cleared history and tested in Firefox, Internet Explorer Edge and Chrome. I could not get editing controls in any of them. However, I tried accessing the site using my personal mac using Safari and it worked.
I have attached the two screen shots - Screen2. jpg is the one from my organization's laptop. The top bar is disabled and the "Publish" button is disabled. Also, just next to the unlock icon, I cannot see my login Icon ("SR")
In the other screen1.jpg.png, this one is from my personal mac.
