Edit in Browser button not working

Need assistance editing a document I have already uploaded but Confluence is not allowing it. Edit in browser is not working and attachment does not show me a View button.

Hello @Sundeep Bhatia , when you saw document, are you referring to a Word document? What is the file extension? Also, have you tried a different browser?

Hey there,

Yes I have tried different browsers, clearing cache, checked permissions, & couple other things I found from the articles out there on this topic.

We have 7 attachments uploaded. One of the attachments "FINAL DRAFT - Application Onboarding and Readiness Assessment" is not allowing us to 'Edit in Browser', upon clicking button nothing happens & we also don't see the 'View' button for this attachment.

The other 6 attachments have no issues upon clicking 'edit in browser' button and modifying.

To rule out strange issues, try saving that file with a new name and upload to see if you are still seeing the issue.

Hey Bill,

This actually helped. The problem was, the file did not end with .xlsx and confluence did not allow the document to open. Once we added the .xlsx after the name we were able to see the 'edit in browser' & the 'view' button.
