Hi!
I am new to JIRA and even newer to Confluence. I am getting along just okay by searching on the internet, but I either can't find the right search terms for this problem or there has been no discussion around this until now.
Sometimes (I can't reproduce when exactly unfortunately), the creation of a sub-page (i.e. new Meeting Notes, new Retrospective, new Product Requirement etc.) leads to an unwanted new entry in the "Pages" and "Space Shortcuts" navigation menu.
The duplicate Retrospective (2) has no children(s) in the navigation pane but when looking at the duplicate it contains the correct retrospective content list.
Any tip how to stop this or what I am doing wrong would be highly appreciated.
Cheers,Henning
Morning @Henning Bree, When creating a meeting note or file list from the template (the 3 dots beside create) for the first time, Meeting Notes, Retrospectives, and File Lists will appear in your space shortcut by default.
After creating your first Retrospective (using the template), click on Retrospective (which is your parent page) and there should be a button on that page to create your new retrospectives. Your parent page will list out the new retrospectives you create.
To your question about retrospective 2, it is just looking for a specific label, that is why content is appearing correctly on that page. Edit the page, edit the macro, and check out what label the macro is looking for. After, confirm Retrospective 1 is looking for the same label. Retrospective 2 page can then be deleted.
The reason why you have 2 Retrospectives is because you keep creating templates. Delete the duplicate pages, then create new retrospectives from your parent retrospective page.
Hope this helps!
Thanks a lot, @Jonathan Smith. That explains it perfectly.
