Hi. I am creating a template form. I want to allow the user to select from all our confluence users int he form-drop down macro. Once I select the person it doesn't save the entry. How do I fix that?

Hi @Michael Rachimi ,

If you're using the form-dropdown macro inside a Confluence template and it's not saving the selected value, it might be because the macro is not configured to store data into the page content by default.

Here are a couple of things to check:

  • Make sure you're not just previewing the template — try publishing the page to see if the value persists.
  • Check if you're using a third-party app for the form (like Forms for Confluence or Confiforms). Some of these require specific setup or field bindings to actually store data.

If you're using native Confluence only, dropdowns in templates usually don’t persist values unless they’re tied to a variable or a placeholder manually replaced when creating a page.

Hope this points you in the right direction!
