Drop Down List - not retaining detault value

Recently, Our JIRA Administrator has installed JIRA 8.5 on JIRA DEV.
We have behaviours for a project, these behaviours are populating values dynamically
in Single drop-down List based on some criteria. Before the JIRA 8.5 installed these drop-downs are retaining default option but after installation of JIRA 8.5 the default option was not retained in the drop-down list. Can some one let me know what I am missing.
