Does JIRA Confluence user license needs to match my JIRA Software user license?

Parag Ingale June 13, 2020

Dear all,
I have JIRA software for 25 users; can I go ahead and use Confluence for 10 users? Not all using JIRA are going to anyway contribute in Confluence. Please let me know. Thanks in advance!

Hello @Parag Ingale

You should not need to match the license count to Jira. Just know that all Jira users will not be able to access Confluence unless you set it to anonymous access.

Thanks for your quick reply! This helps.

Yes. No need to match. Licenses for both tool works independently
