Does Confluence have issues when a username has a '.' in it?

We use the LDAP group function to allow access to confluence. We have one user that has a '.' within the name and it won't sync through to confluence.

We're running on Server 5.10.8.

Any ideas??

We are also using LDAP authentication in Confluence and many usernames have '.' in it. But never faced the problem. Even my username has '.' . But never faced issue.

Yes, remove the '.'
