A team member accidentally started a new draft version of a document that's currently in effect. Is there a way to cancel or delete that draft version so it doesn't interfere with the active document?

Hi @Els Vanderschot ,

There are a couple of paths here:

  • If the draft is an unpublished page While editing, open the More actions menu and select Delete unpublished page. This will permanently remove the draft.
  • If the draft is unpublished changes to an existing page:
Edit the page, then from the More actions menu, choose Revert to previous version. This will discard all unpublished changes and restore the last published version.

Here are a couple of official articles that might help:

It depends on whether they are creating a new version of an existing document/page, or if they've created a completely new page (still in draft mode). 👈

Just a note that once you delete a draft version of the page, the content is lost for good ⚠️ so just keep that in mind.

Cheers,
Tobi

Hey @Els Vanderschot - as @Barbara Szczesniak mentioned, you could revert to the previous version of the page by following the steps mentioned there.

@Els Vanderschot Since the page has been published with the new changes, you can restore a previous version of the page:

  1. In case you might want these changes later, make a copy of the page (maybe within the same space or your personal space or something).
  2. On the original version of the page, select Version history in the More actions menu.
  3. Determine which version you want to restore (compare 2 versions or select the link in the Version column to view that version of the page).
  4. Select Restore in the Actions column.
