Do we need cloud.session.token to hit confluence API if I've provided access token(Oauth2.0 3LO)

I received access token using Oauth2.0 3LO (https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/confluence/oauth-2-authorization-code-grants-3lo-for-apps/), however postman saves cloud.session.token cookie and I am able to get response however whenver I try to hit an API without cookie I get 403? Shouldnt it work without cookies?
