Displaying JIRA data on confluence

I am fairly new to using Confluence and JIRA and so still learning as I go, using the fab support on this community. 

I am currently building confluence pages pulling data out of JIRA into tables. But I am struggling with how to customise how the data looks - such as changing the look and feel of the cells or changing the pop out details. 

Are there any pages, links, videos etc that can show me how I can enhance how the data is shown?

Besides standard features, you may also look into 3rd party apps to enhance your experience with the Jira Issues macro.
