Display file as URL

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!

In the previous version of Confluence, when you uploaded a video or image, you had the option of displaying this file as a URL.

I want to upload a video on the page and want to display this as a URL but that option no longer exists.  Instead the video is embedded into the page with playback controls and is taking up a huge amount of space on the page.

Hello Sukh Singh,

Thank you for raising this question. That feature is not available in the new editor at this moment, but there's a feature request for it below:

There's a workaround included in the ticket above, in which you obtain the URL to the attachment, and link to it manually in a page.

Unfortunately, as many features were not included in the new editor, it's a much more pared-down version of the legacy editor at this time. If there are any other features you are missing, please check our Confluence Cloud Editor Roadmap page to see if it's something we will be including in the near future.
