Disabled users COnfluence receive emails?

I have a quick question.

I have a lot of disabled users on our confluence instance, i want to know if i keep them disabled without removing any of their global permissions, will they still be receiving email notifications from confluence?

Rahul, disabled users should not receive mail notifications, despite of still having permission in Confluence.

Disabled users, who are a member of a group, will receive email notifications if someone shares a page with that group, at least in 5.2.3
