Is there _ANY_ way to disable the popup menu that comes up whenever you type in a / character in Confluence?
Typing " / " to separate items in a sentence and having that constantly pop up is unbelievably disruptive, and adding insult to injury, it shoves yet more unwanted AI slop like "Ask Rovo" and "Improve Writing" buttons in our faces, making the interruption to our productivity that much worse.
Either let us turn the popup modality off completely or, even better, allow us to customize the UI with the option to completely disable / unbind any or all hotkeys in the editor.
Hi @Jack Chiles and welcome to the Community.
I can imagine two scenarios for separating elements.
Given the fact that / is used to insert macros (pre-defined content and/or formatting tools), it's unlikely to disappear. It's actually extremely useful. If you type / and continue typing the name of a macro (such as toc), you can insert the macro on the fly without, basically, stopping typing. /toc->Enter.
Disabling / is like disabling CTRL on in Windows.
I like this idea.
However I don't think there is an option within Confluence to change that.
