Disable email notification for massing bulk update

D X
January 28, 2025

Hello all
We have to massively bulk update (with API) a lot of Confluence page.
Before the last upgrade of confluence, we could disable the Email notification from Sytem apps management.

Following this page

https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/how-to-globally-disable-e-mail-notifications-with-page-content-718670714.html

but it seems with newer version (8.5.16), it's no longer possible.
Is there another way to totally disable email notification ?

thanks in advance

regards,

Xavier

Hi @D X

I think the limitation mentioned in the documentation page is on the scope of the notification. You cannot disable notifications on page content for the version above 7.2 but you will disable the notifications for all contents (page, blogpost, comment, ...)

You may not have access to the modules

  • page-created-notification
  • page-edited-notification
  • page-moved-notification
  • page-trashed-notification

But you can disable the whole "Confluence Content Notification" plugin

Dear @Cyrille Martin

thank you for quick feedback but unfortunately, the option is not available on Manage Apps:

Arf,

Sorry I don't have DC instance accessible, to check before answering.

Have you System Administrator rights ?
