Did anyone try to do the Multi-page blueprints with Confluence Connect tutorial?

I was looking for a way to create a space template and I came across the Multi-page blueprints with Confluence Connect tutorial (link here). I thought of trying it and learning at the same time about confluence REST API. Making the add-on work was a success but the only problem was that I didn't get what the tutorial promised. The add-on created a page with no child pages as expected.
