Hello,
I am looking for assistance in designing several pages with strong visual appeal. Are there freelance designers or training: can you point me that direction? We would be very open to training a person on our staff.
thanks
irene
@Irene Mauch if you are looking to get Confluence looking visually strong, then plugins are the best way. Like Refined Themes for Confluence for instance (I use this for my work Server Instance and my personal Cloud) and there is a demo site they have; there are other options. from different providers that I haven't tried.
The demo pages will give you a flavour for how Confluence can look. I've recently turned Confluence into my company's intranet, and we're getting lots of positives on the design. There's a new thread on Confluence as an Intranet that might interest you.
They also have a free application that gives a series of useful UI widgets that look nicer than the out-of-the box ones.
I find the Section macro is useful when creating visual pages. And when you paste images you can click the font alignment buttons to have the text wrap around the image.
