Hi there!
We just have installed Confluence (server version, starter something) and the Theme is not working. ¿Any ideas why and how to fix it?
Hello there!
As I understand the situation Xavier, Confluence CSS styles are completely broken. This results in a bare HTML page when we access Confluence.
This can be caused by a few reasons, one of them is a Problematic Java Environment Installation. With this in mind, we could start by looking into your Java install and be sure that everything is correctly set.
We can take a dive into our Supported Platforms for Confluence, right here:
The link above leads us into the latest release for Confluence. You can select previous versions in the dropdown menu at the top right corner of the page.
Further into Java Installation, you can look into our guide on how to setup Java for Confluence:
If you used Confluence Installer for your setup, this should not be a problem since the Java environment comes bundled with it. However, if you used the *.zip or *.tar.gz files, you can take a look here:
Now, if we have a proxy between your machine and Confluence, you can try Bypassing The Proxy, as described here:
Let us know your thoughts Xavier! Looking forward to your reply.
Thanks Diego,
You are right, it was a Java installation issue, we solved it the day after by just fixing that.
Right now everything is online and working properly.
Many thanks
