Decent documentation for Questions for Confluence

Good morning everybody.

I'm running some preliminary tests on Questions for Confluence to see if it will suit our organisation, and I'm struggling to find some sort of guide for the application.

The help files I'm directed to use from the app seem to be a bit sparse as well as out of date. Is there a different, up-to-date set, I can be directed to, or is there a primer for the app I can use ?

TIA

Hi @Rhys Gottwald ,

Yeah... apart from this Use Questions for Confluence (and some other resources such as this), you won't find much related to this app.

What you could do (and what I'd recommend) is reach out to Atlassian Support and point out that the docs are outdated. As you're on Premium, you can raise a request via Technical issues and bugs > Confluence. 🎟️

This should get their attention and the support team will probably forward it to learning/docs team(s).

I did try to check JAC for open suggestions, but I didn't find anything on this topic there. 👀

Cheers,
Tobi

Hi Toby, I did this and someone responded, but there was no mention of updating the documentation. They only tried to answer my questions, which is obviously not ideal.

I must admit that it is a bit disappointing that this is a chargeable product and documentation is limited, and what documentation exists is out of date.

I'm not sure where that can be escalated to, but it just doesn't seem right.

Hi Rhys,

I had the same experience when I first started looking into Questions for Confluence. The official documentation seems a bit limited, and some parts don't reflect the current interface.

I found that the best approach was to combine the available Atlassian documentation with community discussions, since many users share practical tips and workarounds that aren't covered in the official guides.

Hopefully Atlassian updates the documentation soon, as a more comprehensive guide would make it much easier for new users to get started.

Good luck with your evaluation!
