Hi everyone,
I need help recovering a deactivated Confluence Space in our Cloud instance.
Situation:
Our Confluence Space was automatically deactivated after a period of inactivity on 02.01.2026
The Space contains important documentation and content that I need
Our instance is on the Free Plan
My Questions:
Is it possible to restore the Space myself, or does this require a support ticket?
Is there a retention period for deactivated Spaces on the Free Plan before data is permanently deleted?
If a support ticket is needed: What are the next steps, given that direct support isn't available on the Free Plan?
What I've Already Tried:
Searched for the Space in the Space Directory (not visible) - confluence is not available anymore
Checked archived Spaces (not there either)
Thank you for your help – I look forward to any suggestions or solutions!
Best regards
Hello @Aryan Mojo
For that date do you mean January 2, 2026?
You can follow this guidance to see if the Confluence subscription is available for reactivation:
https://support.atlassian.com/subscriptions-and-billing/docs/reactivate-a-subscription/
If you don't see Confluence listed in the Inactive Subscriptions tab then you will need to reach out to Atlassian for help. You can do that by completing and submitting the form on the Licensing Support site here:
https://www.atlassian.com/company/contact/purchasing-licensing#/
Good luck!
thanks alot! it is listed but I can't activate it manually and proceeded with contacting atlassian support to reactivate. thanks alot for the guide!
