Date value in Chart from Table is not showing correctly

When creating a simple line graph using the Chart from Table macro I cannot get the date field to display correctly on the x axis.  From the research I have done it seems there is supposed to be a Date Format field in the Chart from Table edit page (under Adjustments) but there is no field in my application where I can set that.  

As a result, when I enter Month Day Year (example April 16, 2020) it shows 416.  Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Just change the chart type from Line to Time Line.
