Date autocomplete (//) not working

(Apologies if this is a dumb question.)

 I can add users inline by typing "@" but when I type "//" to add a due date, nothing happens. Is there some kind of config setting I have to enable? I've tried this on a few browsers and with extensions turned off, but no luck.

No worries, can you go to a new page and by itself, try to type // ? I'd just like to make sure it doesn't work on it's own either.
