Cyrillic pop-up notifications have encoding problems

Hi!

When I share a document with someone Confluence shows pop-up message "Shared with @username". With english system language it's ok.

But in RU locale I have a problem in cyrillic encoding:

Does anyone know how to fix it?

Nick,

Can you let us know what version of Confluence you are using and what database type/version? If you're on Server, you want to make sure that your instance and database are all using UTF-8 for the collation.

Have a look here if you want to test your encoding:

Regards,

Shannon

Hi Shannon,

  • Confluence Server 6.9.1.
  • PostgreSQL 9.6.9.
  • The encoding test is OK.
  • "UTF-8" is everywhere in my instance's system information.

Thank you for confirming, Nick.

Could you check the collation of both your tables and database for your Postgres server?

Secondly, please clear your plugin cache and see if that helps.

Thank you!

Shannon

DB is ok.

Cleared cache - unsuccessfully.

Hi Nick,

I'm sorry to hear that none of this worked for you. Could you show us the results of all the collation tests you ran on your database?

When you say that you cleared the cache unsuccessfully, does that mean you weren't able to clear it, or that you did, but it didn't work?

Regards,

Shannon
