If I create a new page in Confluence, as of today, will that new page be in the cloud editor?

Also, if there a difference between whether a legacy page is converted to the cloud editor and a new page is created in the cloud editor?

Hi @Marissa Meriweather welcome to the community.  New pages will default to the new cloud editor.  Here are some articles regarding the differences between the Legacy and the current cloud editor: differences-using-confluence-legacy-editor-and-cloud-editor and legacy-editor-content-in-the-cloud-editor  convert-pages-to-the-new-editor

Hope that helps.

Hi @Dan Breyen and thank you for your answer and the links! I didn't see the answer that I'm looking for from those links. What I'm ultimately wanting to know is if the 'Cloud Editor' tag is only added to legacy editor pages that are converted to the cloud editor. I notice that the tag is not there for newly created confluence pages.

Ah, yeah, I see what you mean. That looks like something new from Atlassian.  My older pages that have been converted don't have that tag added.

I see what you're seeing, my pages created with the new editor don't have that tag.

I would speculate Atlassian added that as a reminder for pages in a space with both types of pages to give you an indicator of their status.
