Created/deleted users are indicated as System in audited log

We are checking through the audit logs of Confluence , to troubleshoot which administrator account has deleted these users. However for events that are related to creation or deletion of users, the audit log shows the user account as "System" instead of the corresponding user who has performed the action.

 

We need detailed logs to ascertain which user has deleted these accounts. Is there any other way we can check this?

The behavior you are experiencing has been caused by the introduction of the Unified User Management as described in:

 

At the same time, I can see that we are now implementing unified audit logs in Atlassian Access as the result of:

 

Please review the description of the above ticket since there is an update from the Product Manager providing more details on this and, in case of questions, you may want to send him an email using the email address provided in there.
