Yes it is possible. You'll need to use combination of Table Filter and Pivot Table macros to achieve the goal (Table Filter and Charts add-on).
The structure should be Pivot Table -> Table Filter -> Task Report.
Table Filter: add Date Filter for the due date column and set a specific date or date range. You'll get a filtered table with actual data.
Pivot Table: select Description field in Row Labels field.
So you can get something like this:
