Could not add User Directory in Confluence 6.2.0

Everytime I add User Directory then choose JIRA (7.3.5) and error pop during the Test Settings

Error:

Connection test failed. Response from the server:
com.atlassian.crowd.exception.InvalidAuthenticationException: Application failed to authenticate

Hi there,

Are both Jira and Confluence on the same server with no proxy or firewall between them?

Have a look at this article first (Confluence is unable to connect to Jira due to application failed to authenticate error) and if you still have trouble, let us know if you see more details in your Confluence application logs. You can trigger the error while tailing the logs and it should show you the full error message including stack trace.
