Costs upgrade confluence

In our organization we use confuence version 5.9. However we want to upgrade to te most recent version (6.3). What are the costs to upgrade to 6.3 (not cloud)?

Time.

Your licence lets you use any version of Confluence released before the end of the licence. If your licence is current, then 6.3 will cost you nothing. If it has expired, you may need to renew to get to the latest version.

So if you have a licence, the cost to upgrade is simply the time your admins and users will need to put into doing the work.
