Hi
Is it possible for the number of edits to decrease over time? If yes how and why is this caused in the Confluence (Cloud) version of the Atlassian Confluence product?
I'm talking about this macro: https://confluence.atlassian.com/conf59/contributors-summary-macro-792499096.html
sincerely,
Sascha
Hello Sascha,
Thank you for raising this with us. If I am understanding correctly, the number of edits that the Contributors Summary Macro lists changes over time. Is that what is happening for you?
Can you show me an example of what you are talking about? The number of edits shouldn't decrease over time, except if your users are actually editing fewer things over the course of time.
If you're finding the data in the table is changing day-to-day, we'd need to see what parameters you have filled into the macro. Could you share that with us?
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Shannon

Thanks for your reply. I can't exactly show you what I'm talking about, this is just from what I observed. I've seen users have ~500 edits a month ago and now 400 edits.

I'm not sure what you mean by that. I was under the assumption that the edits are cumulative for the total amount of edits inside the subspace. Is it somehow limited to a time frame of one year or six months?

Please see below the screenshots attached for the macro parameters/options.

Sascha

Hello Sascha,
My apologies; you're correct. I incorrectly assumed it was possible to display contributions over a time period, but the documentation doesn't state that there is a way to do that. I discovered a feature request in Server to be able specify a time period, which confirms that the number of edits is of all time.
Having a look at your parameters, the only thing I could think of us if some pages were moved out of the DAT space that were previously there, the Contributor Summary Macro mights how fewer edits. If others have access to edit the page, you may also want to verify that no one else modified any of the parameters.
Are you encountering similar issues with other Contributor Summary macros on the site? If you continue to see issues like that, you can raise a ticket with our Cloud Support Team and we can have a look. However, please note that you need to be a primary contact or site admin in order to do so.
Take care,
Shannon
