Using Confluence 6.15.1.
1. I insert a special char (e.g. tick with (/)) to a page, then save the page. The character is displayed correctly even after saving.
2. Edit the page again, and add some more ticks
3. After saving the page, the ticks added in step 1 are displayed incorrectly.
The ticks added in step 2 have URL: "/s/...check.svg" while the ticks added in step 1 and displayed incorrectly have URL: "http://baseurl/s/...check.svg".
The problem is that our installation is accessible only through https.
In Site Configuration, the Server Base URL is https.
Has someone idea?
Thanks,
Greg
Hello there!
Hey Gergely let me check if I understand correctly. When adding multiple special characters to a Confluence page, they get corrupted after saving. Is that correct?
We could try to Copy the page to another Space or under another page and then, Check if the issue is still present?
I tried replicating this behaviour but was unable replicate. I would like to have a little more detail to try and check this behaviour.
Here are a few questions that can help us to understand:
- Is this happening In All Pages?
- Is this Caused By All Special Characters inserted?
- Are you using the special characters in the Page Title?
- What happens with the Previously Inserted special chracters?
Let us hear from you Gergely!
Hello Diego,
thanks for the reply. The special characters are corrupted only after saving them the second time. Adding a special character and saving the page is ok, then editing again and saving corrupts them. First time they have relative URL, after second saving they have absolute URL, which is somehow incorrect (http instead of https).
This happens in all spaces and all pages, all characters.
I tried in text body.
Only previously inserted special characters are affected.
It is happening since updating from 6.12.0 to 6.15.1. It may be some misconfiguration, but I checked the config files and the base URL, they are ok.
Thanks,
Greg
