Confluence notifications email inconsistent From field

Using Confluence 6.2.0 Server sometimes notification emails get sent with the "From" field of the email set to the value specified in the Mail Server configuration and sometimes the"From" field just says "Confluence". I did notice that if I commented on a page that I owned I got the configured "from name" but if I commented on a page that I did not own I got "Confluence". Discuss?
